At Nameshoes, we prioritize data security and confidentiality very much because we know it is the highest priority for critical consumers shopping online. At the same time, we would like to give you the best possible experience when using our websites. Therefore, we collect some information that we use when you shop at us or visit our site.

  • Name, address, phone number, e-mail address and other information you may provide when setting up your profile and using our service.
  • Information on the purchase and delivery of goods and services, including the types of product you purchase along with your purchasing history.
  • Information sent from your device when using Nameshoes. This may include your device ID, device type, browser type, length of session you’ve had on our site, your location, referral URLs, electronic addresses (e.g., IP and MAC address), terminal equipment- and connection information, preferences and information regarding your use of Nameshoes. This personal information is also collected through cookies, tracking urls, beacons, etc.


When you place an order with Nameshoes or sign up for our newsletter, you transfer personal data to us that we are taking good care of. As you move around our site, we also use cookies to track your activity on our site and on other third-party sites. Below, you can read more about the personal data we collect, how we use your personal data and what we use your personal data for.

1. Processing and forwarding of orders

Nameshoes collects personal information in connection with purchases in order to process and forward your orders. 

Please note that laws and regulations regarding the protection, processing and disclosure of personal data in some countries may differ from the applicable rules in Denmark. When you submit your personal information, you agree that your information is transferred to other countries on their terms.

In order for us to deliver goods to you, we need your name, your address and your phone number if you want delivery information by text message.

We also collect your e-mail address so that we can send you an order confirmation by email and inform you when your order has been shipped. Likewise, your submitted personal information will be used if you wish to return the items you have purchased from us.

2. Marketing through email and via external partners

We only use your personal information for marketing purposes if we have your consent to contact you with recommendations and bargains, trends in time and other useful information that we believe will be relevant to you. If you have purchased from us before, we will also use your purchase history to tailor content that can enhance your user experience on the site further.

If you are subscribed to receive our newsletter, Nameshoes can disclose and receive customer and member information and information about your purchase for the purpose of improving the shopping experience of Nameshoes customers and to improve and target the marketing we send to you.

Nameshoes handles personal data for marketing purposes in accordance with applicable law, including the requirement to obtain consent prior to the dispatch of electronic marketing and the use of personal data to make relevant, targeted marketing at third party platforms such as, but not necessarily limited to, Facebook and Google. We only use your personal data in this context if you have consented that we may use your purchase history for segmented marketing in accordance with the Privacy Policy you’re currently reading and have checked off the box in the check out flow giving recommendations and offers.

If you regret giving us your consent and wish to remove our consent to appear in our database of email addresses, we are allowed to use for marketing with external partners, you can do it at any time. Contact our customer service by e-mail.

If you wish to cancel your marketing authorization by e-mail, you can also unsubscribe from our newsletter.


According to the EU Data Protection Act of 25 May 2018, you as a customer have gained more rights. You are entitled to obtain access to the personal data used by Nameshoes, with some exceptions. You also have the right to oppose collection and further processing of your personal information. In addition, you will always be entitled to correct or delete any incorrect information.


Nameshoes uses and stores the personal information you have given us in connection with your purchase for up to five years in accordance with current Danish accounting legislation. In analytical tools like Google Analytics, we store information about your order- and customer-number for up to 50 months according to the framework set up for storing information in the tool. Then the information will be automatically deleted.


All conditions and conflicts that may arise in connection with the use of the Website are subject to Danish law in accordance with EU Personal Data Law.
